BBT

In 1979, after the fall of Idi Amin's regime, Alex Mitala returned to Uganda from exile in Kenya. At this time, Alex began to mobilize local social workers and Bible teachers to encourage church growth through evangelism, church planting and discipleship. During the same time, Alex Mitala started the Back to the Bible Truth Ministries (BBT), a ministry to evangelize the masses, encourage church leaders and plant churches.

BBT Today

Today BBT is a well respected and broadly recognized ministry / social action group. Headquartered in Kampala Uganda, BBT consists of medical doctors, teachers, and ministers that run an orphanage north of Kampala, medical facilities throughout Uganda, and vocational schools in northern Uganda. In addition to teaching students the skills they will need in order to maintain an income, BBT provides spiritual discipleship, help for students to heal from the inside out and empowerment for them to aim higher and overcome their hardships. The evidence of transformation in the lives of the children at the BBT is incredible and will impact future generations, and the future leaders of Uganda.
